- Major Sal Tripoli (1928-2010) was remembered during an emotional Memorial Service at the General Aviation Terminal, Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Saturday January 22, 2011.

- Major Sal Tripoli (1928-2010), Wing Director of Safety, passed away on December 31, 2010 after a short illness. A Memorial Service will be held on January 22, 2011 at 5pm at the General Aviation Terminal at RDU.
