Awards and Special Promotion Top the List of Activities

2/10/2013–Burlington, NC–dThe first Commander’s Call for the NC Wing was conducted on February 10, 2013 at the wing’s headquarters in Burlington. The schedule was packed with updates, a special promotion and awards for deserving members. Maj. Dan McCollum offered the monthly safety briefing followed by the director of operations report. Col. Davis E. Crawford delivered the current stats for Capt. Shawn McComas. He stressed the need for more pilots since the wing now has 11 aircraft and the possibility exists that we may be assigned an additional airplane. This will require 60 qualified Mission Pilots, 11 more than the 49 Mission Pilots currently on the roster.

A special promotion was conducted for Cadet Justin Gaddy. Cadet Gaddy received the Mitchell Award and promotion to the rank of Cadet 2nd. Lt.
